North Adams Community Memorial Library

. . . request an item?

Steps for requesting items to borrow.

You've heard of a good book or DVD to read, listen to or watch. How can you get a copy?

  1. You need a library card.
  2. Call, email or come in to the library with as much information as you know about the item.
  3. If we do not own the item, I will check to see if it can be borrowed through MeL.
  4. Then we just wait for it to arrive. If you have given us an email address, you will get an email when it is available. Otherwise, I will call.
  5. If you want to search for yourself, use the buttons in the Search category at the left. Overdrive (the middle button) will locate ebooks and audio books to download to a device.
